In this passage, Simon Peter and his companions have spent the entire night fishing but caught nothing. Despite their exhaustion and doubts, they obey Jesus' command to lower their nets again. To their amazement, they catch an overwhelming number of fish, revealing Jesus' divine power. Peter, recognizing his unworthiness, falls to his knees, yet Jesus calls him—and the others—to a new mission: to become fishers of men. We too are called for a mission.
